Privacy Policy

Skybutler ("Skybutler", "we", "us") is a WhatsApp-based travel concierge service. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Skybutler, why we collect it, how it's handled, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain language on purpose.

Who we are

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly through your conversation with Skybutler on WhatsApp, including:

• Your name, phone number, and WhatsApp profile information
• Trip details you share with us: flights, dates, destinations, and travel companions
• Boarding pass information, if you send us a photo or text of one — see the note below on how we handle this
• The content of your messages to Skybutler, so we can understand what you need and respond
• Payment metadata (such as the amount, currency, and status of a transaction) when you make a booking. Your card details are handled by our payment provider and are never stored by Skybutler.

A note on boarding passes: we keep only the details we actually need to build and manage your trip (such as your name and flight information). We do not store the raw barcode data from a boarding pass, and we treat booking references as sensitive.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide the concierge service you asked for — trip reminders, travel suggestions, and booking assistance
• Communicate with you about your trip, including proactive messages tied to your travel dates
• Improve Skybutler's features and reliability
• Meet our legal and accounting obligations, and help prevent fraud and abuse

We use your information only for the purposes described here, or for a purpose you've separately agreed to.

Consent

We rely on your consent to provide the service. You give it by choosing to use Skybutler and share your trip details with us. You can withdraw your consent at any time — just message us in your WhatsApp chat or email privacy@skybutler.com. If you withdraw consent, we may no longer be able to provide some or all of the service.

Who we share information with

We share the minimum information needed with the following service providers, solely to deliver the features you use:

• Meta / WhatsApp — the messaging platform Skybutler runs on
• Duffel — our flight search and booking partner, when you ask us to search or book a flight
• Stripe — our payment provider, when you make a payment; they handle your card details directly
• Anthropic — powers the conversational assistant that reads and replies to your messages
• Uber — if you ask Skybutler for help with a ride, we may send you a link that opens your own Uber app with your pickup and drop-off already filled in. This does not share any of your Skybutler data with Uber — you complete that booking yourself, in your own Uber account.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Where your information is processed

Skybutler relies on the service providers listed above, and some of them process and store data on servers outside your home country. When information is transferred in this way, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a comparable standard, including through our agreements with those providers.

How we protect your information

We limit access to your information to what's needed to run the service, rely on established providers for infrastructure and payments, and take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. No online service can promise perfect security, but we treat your data — especially anything that could give access to a booking — with care.

How long we keep your information

We keep your trip and conversation history while you have an active trip or account with us, and for as long as we need it for the purposes described here. You can ask us — at any time, directly in your WhatsApp chat, or by emailing privacy@skybutler.com — to delete your data, and we will do so except where we're required to keep records for legal or accounting reasons.

Your rights and choices

You can, at any time:

• Ask us what information we hold about you, and request a copy of it
• Ask us to correct information that's wrong or out of date
• Ask us to delete your information
• Withdraw your consent and stop using the service

To do any of these, message us on WhatsApp or email privacy@skybutler.com. We'll respond as soon as we reasonably can.

Children

Skybutler is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Skybutler's features change. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
